Alison Rowe brings a global perspective to wealth management, shaped by an unconventional path into the financial services industry and a deep commitment to client education. She joined Baird in 2010 and is dedicated to helping individuals and families make informed, confident financial decisions.
Raised in Boston, Alison earned a Bachelor of Arts in Technical Theatre and Spanish from Catawba College. Early in her career, opportunities to live in Europe and Costa Rica sparked a lasting appreciation for global cultures, markets, and the coffee industry. After teaching high school and college-level Spanish, she pursued an opportunity to apply her language skills and global interests as a coffee trader on the New York Board of Trade, working with institutional clients across Europe and Latin America.
Alison later transitioned into wealth management, driven by a desire to better understand how individuals’ attitudes and behaviors around wealth creation influence long-term investment success. She partners closely with her clients, translating complex financial concepts into clear, actionable strategies—particularly for women seeking to build long-term financial independence.
In addition to her professional work, Alison has been actively involved in civic, educational, and nonprofit leadership throughout her career. She has served in a variety of board and leadership roles, including governance and oversight positions, and has supported initiatives focused on education, community development, women’s advancement, and veteran mentorship. Her professional excellence has also been recognized through firm-level honors.
Alison lives in the Lake Norman area with her husband and their two Golden Retrievers and is the proud mother of a grown daughter who lives in New York City.
